They are short strings of text of small dimensions sent by the websites visited by users to the browser of their terminal, where they are memorised and subsequently retransmitted to the same sites during subsequent visits. During browsing on a website, users may receive on their terminal also cookies coming from different sites or servers, commonly known as “third parties”. In their turn they can be divided into the following categories: Browser cookies: These guarantee the normal browsing and fruition of the website, enabling, for example, a purchase to be made or logging in to access reserved areas. Functionality cookies: These enable the user to browse on the basis of selected criteria, such as the language or the products chosen for purchase, in order to improve the service offered. The management of the information collected by these “third parties” is governed by the related disclosures to which you are referred. c) Profiling cookies: Profiling cookies are designed to create profiles related to the user and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences shown by the user while browsing the network. These cookies are used to create an anonymous browsing profile which enables the sending of targeted behavioural advertising. In addition, they make it possible to show contents and propose commercial initiatives based on the sections of our site that are found to be most relevant for users and their interests.
